Chicago flooding

As the weather is STILL trying to decide wether or not to be summer or winter a huge rain storm sweaps through the Chicago area. Just over night about 5 inches made its way to the ground not only watering the ground, hopefully for  awarm summer, but also causing a water main to break. Which in turn turnt into a sink hole with at least 3 cars inside of it.

The storm that sweap through the chicago area, also other areas, left hundreds of dollars in damage. Not only did a water main pipe broke, but also flooding some of the town. The Mayor put into effect a state of emergency and some people were forced to leave there homes until after the storm had passed. Not only are cars incapable of driving on about 7 main streets but many flights how to be cancelled inorder to preserve safety for those that may be boarding the flights because of the height of the water.

People in Chicago are doing the best they can to deal with this issue, but there is only soo much they can do to try and control what happens with this situation. Alot of schools are closed due to flooding and not being able to pick up the children. People within chicago have also been urged to take minimual amount of showers, dishes, and laundry until the flooding has gone down and the water main has been fixed.

The Climythology of America

As the world has always been quilty of, there are myths within are Nation. Which, is a common thing to happen, since the world is incappable of completly keeping something completly true. Words get miss used and no one really fixes them.
The Equal-Latitude Myth
Years ago the New settlers of this Nation were trying to prodict the weather to expect within the summer and winter days, and the predicts were wrong. Not understanding why the climate wasnt comming out the way they were predicting because they were at the same altitude as Spain, yet they ended up with something completly different. Eventually they gave up on that idea.
Showing a picture of altitude which they were using to guess the weather.
This is one of the few Myths that were talked about within the story. Myths are evovled because people want answers as to why something is happening. As a human race we are not to happy about the idea of not knowing. If something is unknown, it is thought to be scary. Which is not true, it just makes things harder on us. As we begin to grow and continue to grow we try adn figure things out. Trying to understand why things are happening the way they are. Which certain things can not be distinguished within a little amount of time yet, we try and rush the information as fast as possible. As long as it is close, to the point that there are minimual amount of issues, then it is okay to pass as a "theory". Which in turn comes out to be false possibly, at some point in time. We try to better the enviorment but at the same time we are harming what is dear to use.

Inconvient Truth

In the movie the inconveint truth I do understand what Al Gore is trying to get at. Just growing up I can tell a difference in the weather pattern....And im only 18 years old. The difference between storms now and storms from when I was 10 are totally different. The tornados are strong and the rain falls harder.

this is from April 14, 2012
Tornados are begging to come earlier and earlier. The weather is so unbalanced that it gives bigger chances for natural disasters to hit. For years movies have shown something horrible happenign to the world to make it end and only a select handful or two are left to try adn survive. What if these "imaginary deaths" come to reality? Now im not talking about the zombie things, but I mean typhoons in golfing a whole city under water and making its way to the rest of the states. New Orleans was already attacked by water, only imagine if the storm reached its righest potential. It ripped that city apart and it was only a category 3, which the walls were suppose to be able with stand and they were not able to stand up to the job that they needed to.

Not only is where the walls not capable of helping but, neither were the people. Thousands didnt listen to the warning and stayed within the city believing that they would be able to rid it out. Comming to find out, the ride was ALOT worse than anyone could of predicted. To me, it seems movie like. This would of been an amazing movie, because it happend in real life, it is horrible! Other states did not realize how bad this truely was until soo many bad things had happend. The sewage began to backup, homes were destroyed, along with hundreds were killed, and many were raped. As human beings we were born with "survival of the fittest" but, today we abuse to gain for ourselves. No matter who we are hurting, and why. As a nation we could not surive a natural disaster to occur all across our land. Yet we ignore the crisis going on else where because out of sight out of mind right? As i said before, because of our negligance, we will be having ALOT more natural disasters comming our way. If we do not fix and clena up the mess WE ALL have made, then maybe we may be living a movie. Feeling soo unrealistic, but being so real.

Earth's Eye

In the wya of life now, people claim they are for helping mother nature and perserving it, but in reality we are just hurting it just as much possibly even more. As the world begins to claim that it is turnign a new lead adn helping slow down the amount of "bad" material that the nation is using, as a nation, we have failed. Bottled water is supposably better, what about the plastic the bottles are made of? How many people really recycle? How many times can one plastic bottle really be recycled?
this all could of been recycled more, yet ends up in the ocean and/or on some different island...out of sight, out of mind right?
In 2012 my family and I made a trip out to Cozumel and Progresso Mexico. We got to stay on a cruise boat that took us from new orleans to the docking port in mexico. An the way over we are all the food we wanted, had all the drinks we wanted, no worries about anything. Food was available 24/7. When we got off we could see that the country, Mexico, is a poor place to live. The people that live within the community try the hardest to get money for there families.  As we were trying to leave to ge tback to the boat a couple store owners were trying to get us to by things. I finally bought some maraca's and paid with a 10, the lady rain around to alot of stores trying to get change. No one really had change for it within the strip of shops. If getting money is this hard, then how are they suppose to supply food for there families? Understanding the hard ship that is going on within lots of communities can help someone know why some communities are so trashed. Also at the same time tho knowing is other communities chances to reach out and help the communities will garbage build up and bad living conditions.
